Grateful Dead Deliver the Goods

The Grateful Dead came to town for their farewell shows a few weeks back.  I’m not convinced this is the end.  In a few years they may decide to make some more money.

Many aspects of the “Deadhead” lifestyle are silly or even downright dangerous.  Severe drug abuse is one.  The belief that adult life should be fun all the time is another.  People are never going to all love each other.  I also believe I will be in no mood for rock concerts when I’m sixty years old.

But the band still sound great.  I saw them at old Soldier Field back in high school.  My thought was that without Jerry Garcia it would be a cheap experience.  Not true.
