The Loop Link Project may Have Value

It is easy to dismiss the Loop Link Project.  Taking a lane on a busy Downtown Chicago street and giving it over completely to buses sounds like it very well might be a recipe for worsening congestion.  There have been articles and comments posted online which suggest it is not contributing anything positive.

But here is a video from last Wednesday, shot at Washington and State looking west:

Traffic is moving along nicely.  One video alone is not enough to judge the project a success.  And they certainly should not have poured any money into this at all while City pension funds are in dire straits.  But it is not a disaster, and in the long run may prove to have some value.
