Central Camera, one of Chicago’s oldest retailers, is open once again.
Operating since 1899, it was set on fire by criminals during one of the many George Floyd incidents last year.
They are temporarily operating out of a store front next to their normal space while renovations take place.
Operating hours are currently abbreviated:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10AM – 2PM
It is fantastic to see them overcome adversity. It would have been even more fantastic if the City of Chicago had stopped their store from being burned in the first place.
