Mayor Lori Lightfoot was photographed a few days back at a WNBA basketball game.  She was in the midst of a large crowd…wearing no mask.  She then posted the photo to her Twitter account.

The City of Chicago reimposed an indoor mask mandate in August.  So this is not a great look for the Mayor.  The fact that she would post such a photo publicly telegraphs a sense of entitlement and arrogance, or at the very least someone who is totally aloof.

This is part of a recent pattern of prominent politicians breaking indoor COVID rules, including President Biden.  And it begs the question: if they are going to flout their own rules why are we following them?
